How we contribute to ecologically friendly living.

We strive to create residential and mixed-use communities that derive their energy from renewable, carbon-free sources; providing an affordable, sustainable, and ecologically friendly living. We do this by being HERS certified. That means that, while building your new home, we focus on all the building choices that affect the energy use of your Zero Energy Capable home. How we
save energy.

Building efficient, HERS Certified homes take a variety of features and techniques to save more energy than homes built to current code. The strategy includes modeling and advising for effective insulation systems, high-performance HVAC equipment, tight construction, and sealed ducts — among other features. The target for EcoSmart homes is a HERS rating of 25; meaning that it uses 25% of the energy of a standard, code-compliant home. That is an energy savings of 80%.

Benefits For The Home Owner

Save Money And Resources

Incorporating energy-efficient systems throughout your home will noticeably cut the price of your bills, and the initial setup cost will soon be earned back through the savings you’ll make. More than 70% of the average energy demand for a typical single-family home is to meet heating and cooling (thermal) needs. With a geothermal heat pump, that energy use can be cut by 40% to 70%, reaping significant savings on electricity and natural gas utility bills.

Reduces Strain on Local Resources

As the population increases, local shared resources such as water and energy come under considerable pressure. Through the use of technologies and processes that increase energy efficiency, green buildings can reduce this strain.

Higher Property Value

Green homes are now highly sought after, and as such attract a much higher property value than their non-green counterparts. Buyers are increasingly starting to see the benefits that eco-friendly homes offer, from lower running costs to a more sustainable and future-proof way of living. Investing in an eco-friendly home now means you’ll be one step ahead for the future.

Lower Carbon Footprint

It’s important that we take steps now and start working to reduce our negative impact and help to sustain the environment for our future generations. Reducing our carbon footprint is something that we should all be taking into consideration.

Agile Energy For Smart Homes

Realizing An EcoSmart Future

Buying a home is the largest purchase of your lifetime. Your return on investment can be greatly increased by having a low rating on the industry standard Home Energy Rating System (HERS) Index. Economical housing elements and energy bills play a big role in affordability. Energy-efficient homes with a low HERS Index score are the key to green living, providing better home comfort, lower running costs, and higher resale values. When you’re selling your home, a low HERS Index Score can compel a higher resale price. Read more about resale prices here. When you’re buying a home with a low HERS Index Score, your energy bill will be significantly reduced. An EcoSmart home has a HERS rating of 25 or below — making it one of the most energy efficient homes in the country.
