We are responsible for keeping that system running reliably, efficiently, and at peak performance year-round.
Geothermal HVAC uses the earth's stable underground temperature to heat and cool your home. A network of pipes buried in the ground circulates fluid that absorbs heat from the earth in winter and transfers heat back into the ground in summer.
In your community, this system operates at a district scale, meaning the underground infrastructure serves all homes through a shared loop. A heat pump inside your home connects to that loop to deliver heating and cooling. The result is a system that uses significantly less energy than a conventional furnace or air conditioner, runs quietly, and requires no noisy outdoor equipment exposed to weather.

Your home is connected to a district geothermal system. Instead of a conventional HVAC unit, your home taps into a shared underground infrastructure loop that delivers consistent, efficient heating and cooling regardless of outside temperatures.
EcoSmart operates and maintains that district infrastructure. The EcoSmart service fee covers the ongoing operation, maintenance, and monitoring of the geothermal system that serves your home. The service fee works like a utility connection charge. It covers access to and maintenance of the shared infrastructure that supports your home's heating and cooling system, a system designed to deliver meaningfully lower energy costs than a conventional setup.

Our EcoNOC® platform monitors the system continuously so we can identify and address issues before they affect your comfort or energy costs.
Routine maintenance, emergency response, and long-term upkeep of the district system are all covered. You do not need to worry about the infrastructure that supports your home's heating and cooling.

Contact your builder or warranty provider right away. EcoSmart's service responsibility extends to the geothermal connection box in your backyard; any issue beyond that point, including equipment, ductwork inside your home, and leaks between the geothermal connection box and your home's heat pump, is the responsibility of your builder or warranty provider.
